The Second Amendment clearly states: "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

The Bill of Rights, including the Second Amendment, was drafted by men who had risked their lives and their fortunes to give birth of this nation. They were active participants as a well armed citizenry removed a tyrannical and oppressive government, replacing it with what we now know as the United States of America. They knew, from their own personal experience, that a strong Second Amendment would be essential to the preservation of our freedom and liberty.

I am opposed to the passage of laws or government actions that restrict ownership of weapons or that limit access to ammunition.

Such laws merely disarm law-abiding citizens, leaving them unable to defend themselves from criminals who have no regard for the law.
